Celebrate All Things Summer with a Stay at The Rose Hotel

With summertime in full swing, it’s a great time to take a break and experience everything downtown Pleasanton and the Tri-Valley has to offer. From music to wine tasting to ice cream, there’s something for everyone.

Also, The Rose Hotel is proud of our nation’s heritage and always decorates our façade with a stunning display of red, white, and blue. It’s worth a trip just to see our grand beauty!

Remember that all year long deployed veterans can enjoy a complimentary night’s stay in a Deluxe King room. To make a one-time reservation, call the hotel and ask for the Deployment Special. On check-in, show a copy of your deployment orders and enjoy your stay at The Rose Hotel.

Please join us in July and enjoy a sweet summer respite!

Concerts in the Park

On the second through last Friday nights now through August from 7 to 8:30 p.m., downtown Pleasanton hosts Concerts in the Park at Lions Wayside and Delucchi parks. Bring a blanket or chairs (no tarps, please) and settle in for a night of free entertainment. Dogs are allowed on leash only; responsible alcohol consumption is permitted.

Patrons are encouraged to order a takeout dinner from one of downtown Pleasanton’s many restaurants and bring it with them to the park. Concert goers are invited to stop by the Pleasanton Downtown Association (PDA) table near the stage to enter a free raffle for a chance to win gift cards and special prize baskets from local businesses. Follow PDA on Facebook and Instagram to see the lineup of bands and special offers from downtown businesses.

Bonus: The Pleasanton Community Concert Band will perform for free from noon–2:30 p.m. at Lions Wayside Park as well.

Alameda County Fair & Concerts

The Alameda County Fair, which launched June 17 and runs through July 10, is not only big fun with rides, games, livestock competitions, horse racing, food, movies, and more, but it’s home to a well-attended concert series. July brings The B.B. King Experience, Great White, Blue Öyster Cult, ConFunkShun, Bonfire: Tribute to AC/DC, and Banda Machos.

And don’t miss the big Fourth of July fireworks spectacular here on July 1! Buy tickets online in advance, because this is a popular attraction.

Taste Our Terroir

Indulge in four days of lavish wine tastings, pairing competitions and other events with award-winning wines and winemakers at Livermore Valley’s premier food and wine affair, Taste Our Terroir, July 14-17. Events take place at various venues. Be sure to get tickets online in advance!

Ice Cream Trail

Who doesn’t love to cool off with a frozen treat in the summer? With the Tri-Valley Ice Cream Trail, you can follow a map to sample a variety of cold sweets, from old-fashioned sundaes to Japanese soft-serve in soft waffle cones to refreshing Italian gelato. Visit five participating parlors, snap a photo at each, submit them on the website, and you’ll get a free souvenir ice cream scooper!
