Create your own St. Patrick’s Day itinerary through downtown Pleasanton and stay at the Rose Hotel

We’re putting away the hearts and flowers now that Valentine’s Day has come and gone. What a wonderful weekend with many couples spending a romantic few days with us, but faith and begorra, it’s almost the Great Saint’s Day and isn’t it time for everyone to be a little bit Irish! (Our owners, of course, have Irish roots, so we do look forward each year to the wearing of the green.)

Here at the Rose Hotel, we’re ready to add a few shamrocks around our own spaces, and we are eager to celebrate with friends throughout town.

If you stay with us, you can easily build your own St. Patrick’s Day itinerary via our local pubs. All of these downtown venues are within walking distance and open with limited capacity:

Beer Baron Whisky Bar & Kitchen boasts a “whiskey bible” that includes standards such as Jameson’s and Tullamore Dew along with aged bottles of Redbreast. They’ll have Guinness, green beer, and Irish car bombs in-restaurant on St. Patrick’s Day. Feel like having an intimate homage to the Saint in your room? You can order any of their Irish whiskeys to go.

Neighborhood Sports Bar & Kitchen is a perfect laid-back place to grab a pint of Guinness on tap and raise a toast to St. Paddy.

Sidetrack Bar & Grill’s extensive bar and two large rain-proof patios with heaters and TV is a stylish, lively, and safe way to enjoy the holiday no matter what your beverage preference on St. Pat’s or any day.

And did you know we’re just six miles from Dublin, California? Although many festivities in this namesake of Ireland’s capital will be somewhat different this year, a week-long St. Patrick’s Day Celebration is in the works. This year’s events include two Celtic rock concerts, an Irish-themed “family fun zone,” an Irish tea room, and a virtual Shamrock 5K run and walk.

Information is firming up as we get closer, so check back to the city of Dublin’s website for all the details or ask us: We’ll be delighted to help you craft a very special celebration and a fun yet relaxing weekend that’s exactly what you need.

Come see us soon—you can even hoist a glass in our lobby bar and say “Sláinte!” to St. Patrick for brightening spring with more than a touch o’ green!
