Musical trivia

Pleasanton’s BottleTaps tap room and restaurant is hosting Xtreme Music Bingo events every Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. Combining elements of bingo and music trivia, Xtreme Music Bingo contains different music genres.

A couple of category examples they give are “Ladies of the 80’s” and “Disney Musicals,” so there’s something for any music tastes. The exciting game nights are free to play and family friendly. There is also plenty of delicious food and a vast selection of more than 200 ciders, beers, and meads.

Pre-Valentine’s Day fun

If you’re visiting and ready to enjoy the weekend before Valentine’s Day with your friends, Livermore’s McGrail Vineyards is hosting a Palentine’s Day Party 11 a.m. to 2p.m. on Feb. 10. The event will include a mimosa bar with McGrail’s special Gracie Sparkling Wine to enjoy while listening to a DJ playing throwback tunes for jamming out.

A food truck will have Mexican fare available to satisfy the munchies. Permanent jewelry from Jerici & Co. will be available for sale if you’re ready to find a bracelet, necklace or more to stay with you for life. Tickets are available at the event link above for $15 for wine club members and $25 for non-members.

For something out of the ordinary to do to celebrate Valentine’s Day, check out Livermore’s SPARC Theatre’s Romance & Juliet on Feb. 14 at 7:30 p.m. or Feb. 17 at 2 or 7:30 p.m. Romeo & Juliet may be a classic tale of romance, but you’ve probably never seen it quite like this.

Romance & Juliet’s entire cast consists of just three actors retelling Shakespeare’s classic story. While watching this intriguing performance by such a small number of people, guests also have the option to enjoy a glass of wine, or a dessert flavored with the best Valentine’s Day flavor possible: chocolate. Get your tickets online for $25 without a glass of wine or $35 with wine.
