Explore hotrods, wine tasting and ComicCon when you visit the Tri-Valley in June

Tri-Valley tourists will find an abundance of things to do in the region while they’re here. Here are some of the top events for June 2025.

Thrills on wheels

On Saturday, June 7, downtown Pleasanton’s stretch of Main Street will be filled with classic cars and BMX performers for Hot Rod Row and BMX Bike Fest. Hot Rod Row takes place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., while BMX Bike Fest shows take place at 12 and 2 p.m.

More than 200 shining, brightly painted cars will be on display for attendees to view while local bands perform live music to set the ambience.

If you need a break from exploring the car show while you’re there, cyclists will show off their stunning skills at the BMX Bike Fest. Expect high-flying antics where cyclists do jumps, tricks, and more. The Hot Rod Row and BMX Bike Fest are free.

Punchlines and wine

How does combining comedy with local wine from California’s wine country sound to you? If you want to sip and laugh through an evening, try the Wine & Punchline Pairing Comedy Night! at Wood Family Vineyards in Livermore is happy to oblige.

From 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 12, enjoy a cast of comics who are sure to make you laugh. Enjoy wines by the glass or bottle while you are entertained.

Bingo’s back!

Bingo enthusiasts nurture their competitive streaks at Barrels and Bingo Game Night. Held at McGrail Vineyards in Livermore, this bingo night takes place from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17, and once a month afterward on a varying date each month.

Competitors will get the chance to enjoy McGrail wines while playing, surrounded by the scenic sight of aging wine barrels. Entries cost $10 per person and are available for purchase on Tock.

Worldly tastes

Wine country visitors are invited to taste special wine blends from around the world on Saturday, June 21, when Sip Around the World takes place at the Martinelli Event Center in Livermore from 2 to 5 p.m.

Sponsored by the Global Artisan Vintners Alliance, the event offers attendees the opportunity to sample outstanding wines from North America, South America and Europe while snacking on light bites. Tickets are available on the Livermore Valley Wine Community website for $60 per person.

Concerts in the Vineyard

If you’re in the area the following week, McGrail is also starting their Friday Night Live Summer Concert Series on June 27 from 6 to 9 p.m. The series continues to take place every other Friday until Sept. 19.

The kickoff event’s performer will be Idlewild, a band specializing in classic rock. Attendees will enjoy the music on an open lawn with McGrail’s wines and bites from a local food truck available for purchase. Tickets are $15 per person and available on Tock.

Compact ComicCon

Fans of pop culture who prefer a quieter, smaller experience than the large conventions found in major cities can explore ComicCon Livermore at the Bankhead Theater in Livermore on Saturday, June 28, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be something for those into many fandoms, whether anime, comics, sci-fi, horror and more.

A cosplay contest, face painting, vendors and special guest appearances are all part of the event, which is free for the public to attend.
