Plan a perfect romantic getaway in Northern California’s Tri-Valley

Walk and dine

Our downtown Pleasanton location makes it convenient to find numerous restaurants for a great date night just a short walk away. Baci Bistro & Bar, less than a 10-minute walk from The Rose Hotel, offers a classy ambience with an Italian-inspired menu that includes brunch, steak, seafood, pasta and more. Also walking less than 10 minutes away, you’ll find Sabio on Main, a modern Californian bistro featured in the Michelin guide serving up sustainable meat and seafood dishes.

A taste of Tri-Valley wines

If you and your partner are looking to try wine tastings, the Tri-Valley has many options to choose from. The Livermore Wine Trolley offers wine tours that include tastings at three wineries or tasting rooms and lunch. Visit Tri-Valley has a guide on area wineries, with suggestions depending on what type of atmosphere you’re looking for. We at the Rose Hotel suggest McGrail Vineyards in Livermore for breathtaking vineyard, hill and mountain views in every direction, or Livermore’s Rodrigue Molyneaux Winery for a scenic picnic spot on the beautiful garden patio while enjoying your wine.

Relaxing options

For a relaxing massage, spend time at one of the numerous spas in Pleasanton. White Elephant Thai Massage and Aroma Day Spa are both located less than a 10-minute walk from the Rose Hotel and offer massage services sure to ease bodily tension for an even more peaceful couples’ trip.

In addition to local food, wine and spas, the Tri-Valley also has an abundance of entertaining events going on during September. To continue the theme of peaceful relaxation, check out Yin Yoga classes every Friday at 6:30 p.m. at Mind Body Flow in Livermore. Taught by local yoga instructor Kristine Daizy, Yin intends to provide a calming bridge into the weekend by ending the week with soothing yoga poses and stretches. The class costs $25 per person on a drop-in basis.

You’ll have the opportunity to vote on your favorite, with the winning restaurant receiving the Golden Fork award. Tickets are $60 per person and available on Eventbrite.
