One of Northern California's biggest automotive weekends returns when the Goodguys 39th West Coast Nationals roars into the Alameda County Fairgrounds Aug. 21–23.
Featuring more than 3,000 pre-1999 hot rods, muscle cars, customs, classic trucks and vintage vehicles, this three-day celebration offers far more than an incredible car show. Visitors can experience exciting Goodguys AutoCross racing, the Wilwood Disc Brakes West Coast Shootout, Nitro Thunderfest presented by Summit Racing, live music, a massive swap meet, the Cars 4 Sale Corral, vendors, model car displays, a Family Fun Zone, arts and crafts, and Meguiar's All American Sunday showcasing American-made cars and trucks of every era.
Whether you're a lifelong gearhead or simply appreciate beautiful craftsmanship, this event offers something for every member of the family. Tickets start at $45 and parking is $15. Please note that Alameda County Fairgrounds are cash-free.

A Pineapple Under the Lights
Families won't want to miss The SpongeBob Musical, presented by the Tri-Valley Theatre Company at Livermore's Bankhead Theater.
Based on the beloved Nickelodeon series, this colorful, high-energy production combines memorable music, creative staging and plenty of laughs for audiences of all ages. It's a wonderful way to introduce younger visitors to live theater while enjoying an evening together.

The convention takes place Aug. 15–16 at the Alameda County Fairgrounds. This growing event features vendors from across Northern California, food trucks, trading zones and plenty of opportunities to buy, sell and swap collectibles. It's a fun stop for serious collectors and curious newcomers alike.

Pleasanton Concerts in the Park returns Friday, Aug. 14, when RPM takes the stage at Lions Wayside Park with an evening of danceable rock favorites.
In San Ramon, the Summer Concert Series continues Sunday, Aug. 2, as Take 2 performs today's hits and timeless classics at Central Park Amphitheater.
Livermore offers two unique musical experiences. On Thursday, Aug. 20, join the fun at Thumpin' 3rd Thursdays Community Drum Jam, a free interactive gathering at Bankhead Plaza where everyone is invited to participate.
If you'd rather sit back and enjoy the music rather than make the music, then the Thursday Night Livermore Market features live performances by local artists, including singer-songwriter Jesse Loren Strickman, at nearby Carnegie Park.
