The rise of the boutique hotel
Travelers’ sensibilities have changed dramatically since the days when their expectations were nothing more than a clean room and a soft bed.
Today’s travelers not only want more amenities they want a distinctive experience. Hence the rise of the boutique hotel starting in the 1980s. The trend continues, according to an article published on Travel XL News.
The proliferation of boutique hotels and the people who want to stay in them has spread across the globe. What exactly is a boutique hotel (also sometimes referred to as “designer” or “lifestyle” hotels)? They are properties that differentiate themselves from larger chain hotels by providing more intimate and luxurious environments, as well as more personalized accommodations and services.
We at the Rose Hotel are proud to be part of this esteemed niche, and we haven’t stop working to make a stay at our property an even grander experience. One of our latest offerings is an Exclusive Bride and Groom package that includes:
- A bridal suite
- A romance package with chilled champagne, chocolate and a bouquet of red roses
- Late departure time to allow lingering over an extensive continental breakfast
- An embroidered souvenir door hanger
- A framed copy of the lobby reader-board announcing your wedding stay
The wedding package starts at $495.
Some of our less well-known offerings include heated bathroom mirrors that don’t fog when you shower, as well as magnified makeup/vanity mirrors.
We are also blessed by our geographic location on historic Main Street in downtown Pleasanton on the eastern side of San Francisco Bay. This gives our guests access to many activities. One of the seasonal activities to be enjoyed is the Wente Vineyards Summer Concert Series this year featuring musical artists:
- Don Henley of The Eagles
- Liza Minelli
- Barenaked Ladies
- Huey Lewis and The News
- ZZ Top
- Willie Nelson
- Harry Connick Jr.
For the full concert lineup go to this page on the Wente Vineyards website.
This outdoor concert series runs July through September and includes gourmet dining and some of the Livermore Valley’s finest wines.
