One of the things we value most at The Rose Hotel is the Guest Comment Card that we ask our visitors to fill out. Many of them do.

It’s an outstanding management tool because it accomplishes three things.

  • It alerts us if our product or service has fallen short in any way.
  • It’s a source of many excellent suggestions for additional or improved services.
  • It often provides us with lavish compliments that reinforce the hard work we put into our property and guest services. That motivates us to redouble our efforts and do even better next time.

It is the Guest Comment Card we want to focus on this week, and in some of the weeks to come. Specifically, we would like to share our guest feedback to give you a more intimate portrait of The Rose Hotel. This, we believe, will keep you better in tune with our hotel, our services, and the many valued guests we host.

Letters from our guests will a recurring feature. Every few weeks we’ll give you another smattering of guest comments.

Let’s begin with this note from JanSport co-founder Skip Yowell.

I have traveled the world [during] the past 44 years, air miles over 3 million. I have stayed in many great hotels in all seven continents. The Rose Hotel would rank up there as one of the best. The attention to detail for the guest is fabulous, the room environment, the beautiful architecture, staff all make for a great experience. We also put our good retail customers up here. P.S. Love the breakfast.

Susie Rhode stayed in Room 309 and when she departed she honored us with some effusive feedback.

Magnificent hotel! All the extras made such a difference – the rose in the vase, music CD, candle, etc. Enjoyed my stay so much.

Shauna Andrus added:

Love the details – roses, bed turned down with curtains drawn. Thank you!

The newly wed Mr. and Mrs. Turner reported the following:

The arrival into our room after our wedding was amazing. We loved the rose petals and all the romantic touches. Thank you for making the end of our wedding day so beautiful.

Finally, newlyweds Mark and Theresa Vanbuskirk had this to say:

We came to stay on our wedding night. We plan to return every anniversary (if not more)!

My husband and I stayed two nights at the Rose Hotel in June 2011.
We loved the friendly staff, the wonderfully comfortable rooms and the attention to detail.

We are looking forward to a return visit soon!

I had the pleasure of spending approximately 30 days+ at The Rose Hotel and had the most wonderful experience. The staff was exceptional and took great attention to detail. The front desk was pleasant and welcoming and the room staff made sure the room was always comfortable and welcoming after a long day at the office. The bar staff, Dana, John and Yuli(sp) made it feel like I was in my own living room. I have now relocated to Pleasanton and recommend the hotel for anyone considering a short or long time stay.
