It’s football season, time for some fun

Football has become America’s new National Pastime, and as we head into the meat of the 2010 NFL schedule it’s time for the Rose Hotel to get in on the pigskin spirit of the season.

And we know just what’s missing from your trophy case or fireplace mantel – an official NFL football signed by Super Bowl coach and Monday Night Football legend John Madden
John Madden.

It’s yours if you win a special drawing being held by the Rose Hotel. The winner also receives a Rose Hotel Gift Certificate exchangeable for a one-night stay in the Fireplace Suite. (And, yes, true to its name the suite has a working fireplace.)

There’s also a second-place prize, a DVD titled The Boys of Fall by Kenny Chesney. It features Chesney’s friend, New Orleans Saints’ head coach Sean Peyton, giving a pre-game speech to a high school football team. The rest of the video is a montage of football sequences from the pee wee, high school, college and NFL ranks.
