Those of you who are regular readers of this blog know that a few times a year we share with our readers the remarks our clientele leaves on our Guest Comment Cards. This week we are revisiting this continuing series for our first blog posting of the New Year.

HOT STUFF: Among the accolades routinely received by the
hotel is for the premium java we serve

As we’ve said before in this space, though it bears repeating, our Guest Comment Card program is one of the things we value most at The Rose Hotel because it reinforces the relentless efforts we make to provide first-class accommodations and standout customer service, while also giving us continuing feedback regarding the areas where we can make improvements.

It is our hope that by sharing these comments we give you a more intimate sense of The Rose Hotel, our staff and the people that frequent our establishment.

Here are some of the handwritten comments we’ve received from our Guest Card program in recent months.

Treva S., from right here in Pleasanton, Calif., placed special emphasis on our well-trained, conscientious personnel: “Amazing hotel! All staff very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Veronica and your ‘computer guy’ for helping me access my work online.”

Guest Marlene N. obviously likes her down time and her java. “Wonderful, beautiful and relaxing,” she wrote. “Love the coffee!”

Tom and Lanette W. paid us a visit to celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary and had this to say: “Very classy! Lovely rooms and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay – a hidden jewel here in Pleasanton. The breakfast was exceptional as well.”

Dr. and Mrs. Vincent B., residents of Chico, Calif., offered us this prognosis: “Five stars are not enough to describe being pampered at this level. The architecture, linens, furnishings, location were incomparable. The level of luxury and attention to detail (French press, suit butler, CD player, slippers) made this a heavenly experience. This was our first stay but definitely not our last. Thank you.”

For Don and Kathy V., Richardson, Texas, it clearly was not a lone star experience: “Wonderful experience particularly during the Christmas season. Exceptional rooms. The service was excellent.”

Joanne R., visiting from Grass Valley, Calif., indicated she was well served by the hotel and its staff from start to finish: “You have thought of everything. What a treat! Loved my entire stay.”

Dr. and Mrs. Glenn R., by way of Sinking Spring, Pa., said The Rose Hotel filled their prescription: “We’ve never been to a finer hotel with such luxury, attention to detail and warm hospitality. The appointments throughout the hotel are exceptional. Truly a beautiful memory.”

Regan L., of Turlock, Calif., ranked us No. 1: “This is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in, even compared to top-notch hotels in Napa and major cities. This by far exceeds those. The amenities are wonderful. The room is homey yet luxurious. We loved it!”

Frank S. of Antioch, Calif., wrote of the spirit of the holiday and bonding with our people: “I love this place! Christmas décor was excellent. Martha was helpful on the phone and performed excellent check-in service. Loved speaking with your staff members.”

For Jeff and Linda P. of Martinez, Calif., an encore performance is in order: “Wonderful! We will surely be back for a longer stay. So comfortable – clean and great thought to detail.”
