The Museum on Main is sponsoring its annual Ghosts of Pleasanton’s Past with a fundraiser. The museum’s website says ghost hunters come from miles around each year for these guided tours. Ghost Hosts lead guided tours that depart the museum every 30 minutes between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. The tours last roughly two hours and are conducted rain or shine – so dress appropriately. Costumes are encouraged!

The Firehouse Fright Night Movie Festival runs two nights and will be featuring the movies Ghostbusters and Insidious.

The Halloween Spirit 5k Run & Walk and Kids Challenge starts on Main Street in Pleasanton and is a fundraiser whose proceeds benefit local and international goodwill projects of the Rotary Club of Pleasanton. This year, the event will benefit the Wheelchairs for the Needy program in partnership with the Wheelchair Foundation, and $5 of each registration fee will be given to a designated local school or school club.
