A personal shopper the latest perk for Rose Hotel guests

June 21, 2011

The scenarios are common to most travelers.

Time is running out and you still haven’t had an opportunity to buy the gift you promised a loved one. Not to mention that you’re still trying to figure out what an appropriate gift might be.

Or, your spouse is stuck in business meetings and you want to do some shopping. Alas, you don’t really know your way around the community, let alone the local department stores.

Guests of The Rose Hotel won’t find themselves in such quandaries anymore, thanks to the latest perk we have added to our list of services – a personal shopper.

More specifically, the hotel has just entered into a business arrangement with Wendy Crosetti, a personal shopper at Macy’s in the Stoneridge Mall in Pleasanton, Calif., just minutes away from the hotel.

Wendy offers a complimentary personal shopping service to Rose Hotel guests, including priority appointments. Wendy is available to assist for any occasion – ranging from complete wardrobe assistance and jewelry selection to picking out gifts for birthdays, weddings and special occasions of all kinds. In short, Wendy is our guests go-to person for all merchandise carried by Macy’s.

Her motto is “Your style. Your budget. Your needs.”

If you can’t make it to the store, Wendy will work with you by phone, handle the purchase on your behalf, and have the items gift wrapped and shipped to the hotel at no cost. For purchases costing more than $500 she will personally hand deliver the items to the hotel.

“I work with everything from head to toe,” Wendy says. “We have everything people need in my salon, so they don’t have to run around the store. They can relax and enjoy a complimentary glass of wine while I gather together their options. The salon even has private fitting rooms – for men and women.”

Wendy says the key to being an effective personal shopper is “listening and patience.”

“The word I hear from many people is they’re overwhelmed when they walk into a big department store,” she says. “People are busy, and I take care of all their needs.”

Wendy also has business-to-business discounts available on bulk purchases of merchandise or gift cards. Local business clients might want to invite Wendy to present at their offices.

“I do presentations at many businesses about business-appropriate attire and offer special discount coupons,” she says. “That has gone over very well; I’ve even been invited back to many companies to present again.”
